I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
